When the Griffith Observatory reopens in 2005 with more exhibition space and a rejuvenated facade, we can thank LEVIN & ASSOCIATES for overseeing the landmark's face-lift. Founded in 1980 by Brenda Levin, the firm has renovated such icons as the Bradbury Building, Grand Central Market, and the Wiltern Theater and preserved works by Frank Lloyd Wright, Rudolph Schindler, and other L.A. masters. "When I moved to Los Angeles, the city was viewed by both Woody Allen and my East Coast colleagues as being without an architectural heritage," Levin says. "I've been fortunate to have had enlightened clients and the opportunity to prove Allen and my classmates wrong."
